dragonbat2006Your disaster relief donations can earn you fic, fanart, icons, or more. For those unfamilliar with how a fandom auction works:
Browse the lists of of offerings and bid on the one(s) that appeal(s) to you. There is one post for auctions (where the prize goes to the highest bidder) and one for "buy it now" (where the prize goes to whoever places the order first).
When you are notified that you've won the item, take the amount of your bid and donate it to one of the recognized disaster relief organizations that are assisting victims of Hurricaine Sandy.
In other words, you aren't paying anyone to write fic/create art for you etc. You are donating directly to the disaster relief organizations and as a reward, someone will write you a story/draw you some fan art/make you an icon, etc.
